The image to the right illustrates our philosophy behind building a successful and efficient organization that enables effective work processes.
By reducing the number of documents created, being cognizant of file storage redundancy, streaming knowledge transfer and staff training, and utilizing technology to aid in our work processes, we strengthen our organizational "core".
The danger is, as it is for many NGOs, is to adopt hodge-podge IT strategy, not invest in streamlined work flow and push knowledge management to the back burner.
Our goal is to align our IT systems with the Timeraiser & Civic Footprint work-flow by ensuring the right information is in front of the right people at the right time. We intend to do regular "exercises" - pilates if you will - to ensure that our internal operational management is coherently linked to external program management.
If the exercises are done regularly, we hope our core has an organizational six-pack. A six-pack that makes us more resilent over time. In close, we want to be proactive in providing anyone who wants to participate in our work with the tools and resources they require to help advance our programming.
This is out Core organizing principle,
