Mobile CMS Tools

What is Mobile Content Management Systems (MCMS)?
Mobile Content Management Systems allow non-technical people the opportunity to publish content for a variety of mobile devices.

Why are we interested in this type of technology?
We estimate that 65% of our Timeraiser demographic currently use a smartphone; and this number will rise to near 90% by 2015. A majority of users regularly look-up sites, make small purchases and routine banking. An informal survey of Timeraiser participants is the simpler the mobile user-experience, the greater the likely-hood of completing a transaction. However, the proliferation of mobile devices (e.g. iPhone, Android and Blackberry) does create unique challenges for organizations like ours to prepare our content quickly and cheaply.

What to do: Build Native Web, Mobile Web, or Mobile Apps?
There is a growing debate amongst technologists about what will be the best way to develop for the web, mobile devices and social media channels. From an Information Communication Technology (ICT) Governance perspective, additional cost and resources becomes an additional consideration. Framework is trying to decide how to build for the considerations above.
