WestJet is Timeraiser's National Sponsor. We are thrilled to partner with WestJet to promote Timeraiser's across Canada through a variety of social media activations. Below is a diagram of our Contest Workflow, used by Framework staff to administer the contest in each Timeraiser city.
There are three variations on the Timeraiser/WestJet social media contest. Please read the full contest rules and regulations here.
1) Tickets given away the night of the Timeraiser. Timeraiser participants are encouraged to submit their answer to the question "What does Timeraiser mean to you", through Twitter or in person using the Civic Footprint blog. All entries that include the hashtag #TRWJ are considered
2) Tickets are given away prior to the Timeraiser through an influential blogger or website producer (i.e BlogTO or Apartment613). The contest question can vary by city/blogger, but the post should relate to volunteerism and community involvement. Bloggers who agree to host the contest also agree to help promote the Timeraiser through multiple blog posts and/or Twitter posts.
3) Tickets are given away at a Charity Partner's event, such as Meal Exchange's National BBQ Day, or Journalists for Human Rights Night for Rights. Tickets can be used in a raffle or as part of an inspiring post. Submissions are encouraged through social media. |
