MDC Partners is a Business Transformation Organization that utilizes technology, marketing communications, data analytics and strategic consulting solutions to drive meaningful returns on Marketing and Communications Investments for multinational clients around the world. In 2012, MDC Partners officially came on board to support the Toronto Timeraiser. Our goal is to get as many MDC agency employees involved at the Timeraiser while building a longer term, strategic partnership with the MDC network.
Challenge we are trying to solve:
In 2012, we are planning a total of 12 events and have the possibility of doing up to 20 events by 2013. To properly plan a Timeraiser, there are approximately 250 pieces of digital assets that need to be combined into 5 to 7 different pieces of print and digital marketing materials. Some of the work flow includes:
- Prepare banner for email communication templates
- Assemble the 32+ page Timeraiser booklet that accompanies each city and prepare files for upload to printers FTP sites
- Assemble Tmeraiser event materials: agency posters, welcome cards, bid cards/bid sheets
- Properly organize and file digital assets (e.g. agency logos, corporate partner logos, artist images) in out FTP file sharing software as per our naming convention and folder structure
- Take care to upload and layout graphics on our Content Management System
- Support our local volunteer teams to ensure that we have the material they need in a timely fashion; and
- Produce original graphic material elements for use in executive presentations, campaigns and miscellaneous assignments
About the Illustration:
The illustration below is attempting to highlight the parallel workflows involved with hosting multiple Timeraiser events.
- What information is collected: Organizations and artists can apply online
- Administration process: While lots of organizations & artists apply, we can only host so many in the room
- Desktop clean up: For each Timeraiser event, there can be up to 100 logos & images (including photos)
- Proper upload & storage: Once organized (e.g. named correctly), the files can be uploaded to the appropriate spot
From there, the production requirements include preparing i) print and ii) digital materials.
